AFTER THIRTY-THREE YEARS OF PRACTICING AT THE AVENUE W LOCATION, THE OFFICE HAS RELOCATED TO A NEWly renovated SPACE OFFERING THE SAME COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES AND PERSONAL LEVEL OF CARE.

DR. GERSHENSON WAS BORN AND RAISED IN BROOKLYN, NY. HE RECEIVED HIS BA IN BIOLOGY FROM NYU, WAS INDUCTED INTO THE BETA LAMBDA SIGMA HONOR SOCIETY AND GRADUATED FROM THE NYU COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY.

UPON GRADUATING DENTAL SCHOOL IN 1983, DR. GERSHENSON COMPLETED TWO YEARS OF POST DOCTORAL TRAINING IN GENERAL DENTISTRY AND ORAL SURGERY AT WOODHULL MEDICAL and mental health CENTER IN BROOKLYN, NY.

dr. gershenson is recognized as a national leader in the dental field not only by his peers but, by many academic dental organizations and societies.

dr. gershenson is a member of the american dental association, the second district dental society, is a board examiner for the national board of dental examiners, an examination consuLtant for the COMMISSION on DENTAL COMPETENCY ASSESSMENTS, a volunteer with the nyc medical disaster reserve corps, and was recently inducted as a fellow into the ‘by invitation only’ american college of dentists which only four percent of dentists and oral surgeons are members nationally.

after fourteen years of dedicated service as chief of general dentistry and residency director at jacobi medical center in the bronx, dr. gershenson is excited to announce as of november 2019, he will be joining his alma mater, the nyu college of dentistry, as faculty of the oral medicine department.

in addition to dr. gershenson’s expertise in the dental arena, he is also a certified emergency medical technician (emt), ACLS certified and a member of the international alliance of stage and theatre employees (IATSE local 52) where during his time off, he provides medical care as needed to the cast and crew of nyc based film and tv productions.
